First Butterfly of 2023

Didn't expect this to be my entry for today!  In the garden this afternoon was this lovely small tortoiseshell having a nice little flutter around, before taking rest in a very apt place!!  Hope it's the first of many for this year!

And it's been a lovely start to the week here - we visited RHS Hyde Hall for the first time in a long time this morning and had a lovely stroll and saw a Kestrel watching over the carpark!  And then we stopped at a garden centre for a spot of lunch, and to get some compost!  I may also have consumed my body weight in tea by midday, thanks to the large size of teapots we were given! Can never have too much tea!!
