Gymnasiet

A day that turned out not as planned.

It was a day off work but I got called mid-morning and asked if I could go in for a few hours, whatever I could manage, to help out after more than one person from our small team had rung in sick today.

I felt a bit sniffly and my legs felt a bit achey late afternoon so thought I'd best do a Covid test (more out of general responsibility than actually feeling like I had it for a second time - the previous occasion being last May)  - but lo and behold ....a positive result. I was sent home immediately and told all my shifts would be covered this week and, as I'm on holiday next week, my boss's parting shout of "See you on the 21st!" sounded like something I could take from it at least. Right now I'm just quite annoyed as I was meant to be at The Lyceum for Macbeth tonight, and had cinema and pub planned for tomorrow night. But, at least I really don't feel that bad so shouldn't complain, I know that.

Image today is from the little free library in my neighbourhood, I had a peek on the way to work all those hours ago. I have no need for a Swedish high school chemistry textbook but that's a great cover, especially in colour.
