My nemesis of a Monday night art class was pretty good tonight. I think I'm beginning to understand that responding to a book or poem or whatever doesn't mean coming up with a fantastically imaginative picture that blows people's minds. I think it means listening to how it makes you feel, what it makes you remember or consider and then letting that bleed into your work. I think that's what it means...
