Taking the Rough With the Smooth

It's safe to say that the Lane up to our gate is rough, and Feathers is pretty smooth - and all our Land is uneven - everything slopes to the north and the east, except for small areas on the eastern border that slope to the west.  There are literally no flat areas, except for some we have created near the house to set tables on. It makes for interesting views, but a challenge to build on.

Gratefuls:
- a good lunch; I made hasselback potatoes to go with our meat doggy bag from Sem Fim yesterday, plus a watercress and coriander salad
- hearing that the Moldovan couple have got as far as Paris
- getting going on the Carbuncle
