Looking up

To Newcastle mid-afternoon to meet Frank and Rena for a gig - 'The Musical Box' performing 'The Lamb Lies Down on Broadway'. Rena booked the tickets over 2 years ago (we think!), and it's been postponed twice since then, and the venue was changed from the Sage to The Tyne Theatre and Opera House. It's been a long time coming, but tonight's the night!

We got to Newcastle early and managed to find a parking space despite the home football match! Then a meal at Vegano with Frank and Rena. (Who knew that vegan tiramisu could be so delicious!) Finally to the Theatre, where we whiled away and hour in the bar before the show began. The gig was worth waiting for - absolutely fabulous! 

Home just before midnight.

The Tyne Theatre is a beautiful old building, and the ceiling above the auditorium is lovely.
