1st day - Rillito Racetrack’s 80th season
A place I used to visit regularly years ago. 

No betting planned.
Just a look at the horses in the paddock.

Immediately I’m drawn to  - 
#1 De Cap Gun, wearing red.

First off, he kicked up a fuss going into the stall,
 Always a plus in my book. 

Once saddled and paraded before the crowd,
I noticed his feet barely touched the ground.

Wow. I gotta place a bet.
But wait,
Are his legs shaking…..
Is he sweating?
Better not. It’s only the first race…


Under sunny skies,
De Cap Gun ran 300yds in 16.2 sec. 
Winning first place.

Yea, Yea.
