Haldon Belvedere
There was a light frost first thing this morning which soon cleared. I headed off to a sprint cycle class in the sun. An afternoon of getting ready for a short evening visit to Haldon Belvedere also known as Lawrence Castle. This landmark is visible from many locations over Devon as it stands out against the backdrop of the Dartmoor hills.
A small group of us headed off to Haldon Belvedere which is set in the Haldon Forest. The Belvedere sits on a knoll with panoramic views in all directions, not that we could see any in the dark. There was a fair amount of cloud around as well as the almost full moon. We spent a short while taking various shots and learning how difficult it is to take photos in the dark. This was my favourite one from the evening as there are stars in the shot but you need to look large to see them.
