As smooth as glass

After a rather uncertain start, it turned into another beautiful sunny day, and milder than it has been. Roger was at church this morning in his role as one of the Trustees, working with a couple of others on mounting and wiring a TV in the back parlour. Being a Trustee is keeping him quite busy - there always seems to be something going wrong, or things that need replacing, and they are working within the constraints of budget cuts. Since he was out, I decided it would be a good time for me to go and do a bit of clothes shopping, for our upcoming trip. When I got back home, Roger was still out. I tried calling him, but he must have had his phone on silent. Eventually he called, and said he was on his way home. We just had time to get a good brisk walk at Sharon Woods, before returning home, so Roger could shower and prepare for this evenings monthly Trustees meeting.
The water was so still on the lake, you might say it was as smooth as glass, so I thought that would be a good fit for todays Mono Monday theme of rough/smooth. Thanks o Pinkhairedlady for posting.
Such devastating, heartbreaking news of the severe earthquake in Turkey and Syria. So many of the people affected were already refugees from the civil war in Syria, then they get hit by a massive earthquake!
