Tigerama

Under Other Than Honorable Conditions.

I pushed Parker into it.
I was older and I had rank.
I promised him that the door was locked.

It was just one of those things.
A guy looking for his buddy opened the wrong door; my door.
And it was Fort Knox in 1990.

I did hard labor; I fought the other prisoners in the night.
One time I escaped but was caught after a week and dragged back.
This time with no rank.

Parker was in the cell across from mine for 113 days.
I was discharged first because I had had rank.
He asked me if I would write to him; I said no.

I was escorted off the base to a Greyhound.
I changed out of my uniform in the back row.
I left it behind on the seat when I got to Wichita.

I kept the rank.
