Walking On

Stage 2 of the Oxford Green Belt Way runs from Nuneham Courtenay to Abingdon Lock. I picked up the path where I left off on the A4074, walking near the Nuneham Courtenay Estate and past the Global Retreat Centre before a woodland walk then on round the Culham Science area to the railway line and river, ending with a bit of the Thames Path into Abingdon. The photo is at Andersey Island near the end of the stage. It was a fab day for walking - accompanied by loads of birds, including drumming woodpeckers and a cormorant in winter plumage that flew up into a tree at the Lock.
