Remote

The cottage is so quiet, no noise other than birds. We can see the lights in the village below.
Lots of footpaths so we decided to walk to Grafton water and we managed to weave our way across paths and only touched a very minor road for about five minutes. Beautiful weather, started with a frost when we were out earlier, but full sun by the time we left on the walk.
Lots of red kites flying for most of the day. The soil around here is so sticky, not only was it building up on our boots but poor Hetty kept stopping for us to clear her feet and we had to wash them when we got back.
Cocoa on the balcony late afternoon, but it had started to cool so didn’t sit out long.
