DNA success.

For Christmas we got all four parents (aged 79-90 on Christmas Day) a DNA test.

I got the results of the two dad’s last week, mum’s yesterday and mother in laws was delayed being sent off so will still be a month or so.

My dad’s brought up a very interesting match which I had to follow up. Thankfully the person responded and we arranged to meet this morning in a coffee shop. 

We are 3rd cousins, in this case my great grandma is the sister of her great grandad. We both had lots of information to share, and totally lost track of time. We will definitely meet again, as we still have a lot to discuss and learn about our wider family.

Totally fascinating, and for her family a big piece of the jigsaw found.
