I was quite pleased today. Very pleased in fact. 

I had mapped, and planned a walk of eight kilometres (five miles) and with Hollie trotting well we enjoyed a beautiful sunny winter's day, with outstanding and far reaching Shropshire views.

The main blip and the extra are taken in the bucolic village of Munslow, near the end of the walk, with low evening sun illuminating the wonderful architecture.

I have had a great day but my thoughts are entirely dominated by the tragedy unfolding in Turkey and Syria.

How much suffering must these poor people be made to endure.

It is hard to watch on the news, but I hope they get the aid and urgent help they need.
