Scattered on the sidewalk

Walked one of my jogging routes this afternoon, and it was enjoyable. The extra is a myna on the high wires, It only gave me time for two photos.

The sidewalk going up the hill on Woodlands Park Road had received a heavy deluge of Kauri seeds sometime in the last few days. Most of the seeds shown in my photo have the potential to grow into a forest giant. I expect that not a single one will actually start to grow.
