In Search Of Utopia

Hallelujah and praise be, our beloved local The Chequers has finally reopened after a serious fire nine long months ago.
My brother had to have another day off work due to the strain strikes but he was far from unhappy at the prospect. It was a lovely bright winter's day too so of course we had to head down to the village for a pint to celebrate the re-opening of our favourite hostelry.
After our short stroll we opened the door to The Chequers to be greeted by a huge smile and a welcoming hello from the landlord who looked delighted to able to greet regulars and new customers alike again after so many months. It felt so great to be back!
After enjoying our pints sitting by the window looking out across the River Medway I'd almost forgotten to get today's blip but as soon as I saw this graffiti under a nearby road bridge I knew I'd found it. After all with the glorious sunshine, a lovely walk and best of all a pint back in our favourite watering hole it did feel like we'd found utopia! :-)
