Trust the bike chained

In Hitchin to buy mount board, and thought I'd Blip St Mary's church again but a different view. Had intended to photograph the front entrance but there was a funeral at the time so settled for the side entrance. It did occur to me that may be they had a "green" vicar and it was his bike. Looking at the image it made me wonder whether the church is held together with metal plates and bolts.
