Dot.T had to submit about 20 pupilage applications by midnight tonight and she was up way before dawn working on them and took a day off work to focus. Each one takes hours, with essays included. She’d prepared most of them but they all needed checking and rechecking …

So I took her out for lunch - a very quick lunch that was good for her and good for me. I swam early this morning and felt pretty energy-less.
