Practicing depth of field

For some strange reason, the month and year were incorrect when I wanted to upload a photo. After several fruitless attempts to rectify the problem, I was finally able to change the year from 2019 to 2023!  So I'm back again!

The title says what I'm practicing this week! I thought I'd try out some shots downtown. I rather love shallow depth of field, with something in focus in the foreground and then intentionally blurred images in the background.

I prefer horizontal images when possible, but the vertical, main shot had a less busy background. I'm putting the other one in the extra.

I'm so glad that I'm back again after not being able to post yesterday!
