Rooted

We will often pass trees like this when out for a walk. Whether it's in our local area or in some woodland. Tall, strong trees, showing the signs of being weathered by storms and yet still standing.

I noticed this one today as I returned from my latest physio session.

It's smaller branches being buffeted in the wind, yet holding on. Attached to larger stronger ones who inturn are grounded in the trunk which itself is deeply rooted in the earth below.

Roots that will have gone deep and continue to deepen as the tree grows upward and is more exposed to the weather..... Both good and bad.

I also reflected on the fact that each of us will "ground ourselves" on something or Someone. We build our lives and its only as the "storms of life", which there will be, arrive do we find out how good our roots are.

I hope that your roots are firmly embedded in something or Someone that will not fail but will stand the test of time.
