My grandfather

Becky and I were cleaning a bookshelf today and found a bunch of papers my cousin had sent to me long ago.

I must have seen this photo and the accompanying article,  but I have no memory of it. 

So it was exciting to read about my musical heritage.   William played the fiddle and had his own band featuring his wife on piano and his son (my dad) on sax.

I had always thought the band was my dad's idea.  Nice to know how deep the musical roots go in my family!
