Hi Honey, I'm Home!

I had hardly got out of the car at Fishers Green this afternoon when I got the goldcrest shot in extras. Shortly after this I got nice images of a treecreeper and a long-tailed-tit. I saw a kingfisher but wasn't able to get a clear picture. I followed the river in case the beautiful bird appeared again and found myself at The Grebe Hide. Appropriately a pair of great crested grebes were displaying. I found it interesting that between their bouts of bobbing and mirroring they seemed to be starting to build a nest. 

I was distracted by some awful guttural croaking and managed to capture the heron above returning to its nest on a little island.
