A new walk for the visitors

We planned a walk down the hill to the lake, across the lake on a snow scooter track, and round via the beaver lodge and the open water between the two lakes.
Here you see Jude (brambleblossom) and her sister forging a new route up to the old railway.
The open water was not open but hard frozen but the beavers had been up when it was open, chewing of sapling and leaving some at the edge of the water (extra 2). Where the extra picture was taken is where we found lynx tracks 2 years ago, as a big cat unsuccessfully hunted the beavers, blipped by HarlingDarling.
When we got home we had a short break and then donned snowshoes to walk up the hill behind our house. (extra 1)
