i have always - been intrigued by - antiques ever since - my grandma came - to live with us - after she broke - her hip and needed - to recover - somehow we fit - an extra person - into our tiny house - and built wonderful memories

the takeaway was - to treasure things of old - my sister and i - carried this forward together - until her death - and i still do - to this day - this particular piece has - held odds and ends - in it for years - and i knew it - was part of the - famous perfume company of - roger & gallet formed back - in 1862 but didn’t - know specifics about it - until i did some investigating

found it’s an - advertising pot used - for men’s shaving cream - was produced in paris - in 1889 and is very rare - who knew - apparently advertising pots were - all the rage - as they entered - 1890 to 1900 - and it was the - too for up and - coming companies to - market their products - it’s a treat to handle - something which is over - 130 years old now - makes me wonder - the stories it might tell - and whose dresser - it has sat on - besides mine bringing about…
