Watching each other
I looked out of the window when I saw a buzzard over the garden, but didn't have a camera nearby. When I returned with one the buzzard was nowhere to be seen.
Instead one of the two long-tailed tits which seem to have taken up permanent residence on the tree outside my study, alighted on a branch before flying down to the nearby feeder. We were only about eight feet apart and I was rather pleased to have a short eye-balling session with it.
We still get a flock of long-tailed tits flying through on their fleeting visits, but like the goldfinches they seem to have times on their own as well as in the flock.
