Festival of Light

Aberdeen's Festival of Light opened last night. I went along in daylight today to see the installations.

To my surprise Union Terrace Gardens, where most of the installations are sited, was closed. I was not the only one surprised; a group of people with children just in front of me also found their path closed.

I did take a couple of pictures from the nearby road. The road is elevated compared to the level of the park, so the installations do not show up well.

This series of arches in front of Marischal College is another installation; in this case I do not need illuminations nor darkness for a photograph.
