The last one to leave the nest!

It has been a bit of a traumatic day! It started this morning when the first blackbird fledging decided to leave the nest - right in front of Jem! Sadly it did not make it. Then, this evening, 2 more decided that the point when we were walking through the garden to get the field was the right time to leave the nest! I am sure you all must have heard the echoes of the very loud 'no!' as both dogs went after them! Luckily these two were much luckier than their sibling! So now I have one left - I do hope it choses a better time! Did you know that you g blackbirds leave the nest before they can fly!
