Catedral de Sevilla
This afternoon we visited the cathedral. Seville Cathedral is huge in every respect. It is the largest Gothic church in the world, and, in fact, one of the largest churches in the world. My main picture shows the enormous altarpiece, an absolutely mind blowing construction, the lifetime work of a single craftsman, Pierre Dancart, it depicts scenes from the life of Christ.
The extras show the nave; and views from the bell tower, the Giralda, which we climbed when we first entered the cathedral. There are 24 bells at the top of the tower which is reached by a series of 35 ramps ( much easier to climb than steps)! If you look closely at the pictures of the views you can also see the bull ring.
Back blipped.
