Wild (Day 2834)
Another f£$%ing windy day.
After being blown around on the morning wander with Sigyn, I headed for town to sort a drippy tap. Then out to Evie to look at a problem with a hot water cylinder. The stench of smoke in the cylinder cupboard gave me a reasonable clue to what was wrong, and further investigation revealed a very burnt immersion element. Back to town to collect a new one, then out to Evie to fit it.
Home for lunch and to get Sigyn out another wander. Surprisingly I didn't get blown over.
Once Sigyn was settled back at home, I headed for Stromness to look at another hot water cylinder. This one has started to leak, so I trundled back to town to collect a replacement cylinder which I will fit on Monday.
I hadn't been home long when I got a bit of a worried call from my beautiful wife telling me that Jeepers and Robin had been engaged in some horse play and Robin had been hurt. HV was awaiting the arrival of the vet. I zoomed to Stromness to provide whatever assistance I could.
Treatment meant sedating the little guy and we had to wait a fair old while for the sedation to wear off before leading him back to the field. He'll be sore for a while, but he'll be fine.
Home for a very late dinner and to grab a quick pic for blip.
