Little Blue

This small heron visits our canal on the Braden river almost every afternoon. Here he's standing on top of the neighborhood fishing captain's boat! Herons & egrets often do this in our canal, looking for spilled bait in the boat or waiting for a fish to swim by after the leftover bait has been thrown overboard. The captain lives across the canal from us, so we have a prime view of all this activity! We are very grateful to live amongst it.
