Old things

We have a great love of old things, especially old things with history. We found this wooden cash drawer at an antique store today. I couldn’t resist. I think it’s beautiful. Think of all the money and coins that have passed through it. Hard earned money used to buy essentials. The little bell that would ding is still attached and can be “dinged” by hand. There is a littlt gear box in it and pulls like wires on the bottom .
This shop is in an old mercantile building. There is something so familiar about local history. Comfortable. Cosy. Nostalgic, I guess. For now, it will hold some of our family photo books.
