Greetings from Dubai!

The journey wasn't as bad as I thought it would be - Henry fell asleep during take off and slept for 4.5hrs of the 6.5hr flight. Unfortunately Neil and I couldn't sleep and were like zombies - coupled with the general slowness of everything in Abu Dhabi airport and the 38 degree heat, I just wanted to cry!

Once we got to the hotel we found out that we'd been upgraded for free, so we have an enormous room with the biggest bed I've ever seen! (today's blip is Henry checking out the fancy cars in the car park from our window) We all had a cool bath and a drink then went to bed for a much needed 2hr nap.

We had a lovely evening with my friend Emma, her husband and their little boy - another Henry. (3 of us in the same village called our boys Henry within the same month before we knew each other) They moved out last year so we haven't seen then for ages so it was good to catch up. We went for a Chinese then watched the fountains at Dubai mall which were amazing!
