Repairs undertaken

When I took down the christmas decorations outside many weeks ago, I carelessly cut through one of the wires in the string of lights. No idea how I managed it, but, these are neopixel LED lights that can be individually addressed for colour and brightness. Just too expensive to throw away.

The wires themselves are quite thin, but, I managed to strip back the two ends at the cut and solder in an additional length and then cover the two soldered connections with heat-shrink tubing. 

Thankfully, they now work again and are hopefully safe from water ingress.

A big sigh of relief followed when they lit up again.
