In early summer this walkway is under an arch of yellow pleached laburnum but now bright yellow aconites line the path.  It is part of a St Mary’s Pleasance walled garden in Haddington and features designs and plants that would be in a 17th century Scottish garden and perhaps beside the adjoining Haddington House which dates from 1648.   There is also has a knot garden. rose garden, wildflower meadow and orchard with heritage apples and it’s a peaceful place for the local community close to St Mary’s Church and the river
