Mums "going away" bag

My Mum has kept her "going away " dress for 55 years with the intention of making it into something more everyday wearable. After 20 moves, three children, seven grandchildren and a nursing career spanning some 40 or so years she finally handed the material over to me as she sadly realised she would now never do anything with it. I gave the material to my friend Jane ( aka Fingleyphotos) a bag maker extraordinaire who has made this lovely bag from the material. She's added a vintage button to fasten it, resewn the original label in and made a shopping bag to match. Tomorrow my sisters, Dad and I will give it to her for her 82nd birthday. Hope she likes it!
