Calla Lily

This becomes a blip most years at this time, my clump is getting big, and there are many flowers.  Its on the shady side of the house, so hasn't been affected by the extreme heat.
I spent a good hour this afternoon with the hose watering parts of the garden, trying to avoid loosing plants, in particular my rhodos.
Up north cyclone Gabrielle is making a name for herself, already thousands without power, flooding, trees down and road closures.  Auckland harbour bridge is closed and both national and international incoming and outgoing flights are cancelled, not just the upper North Island that is under red & orange warning, but the entire North island and upper South Island now. 
Monday and Tuesday are expected to see the worst of the weather. 
And the sun continues to shine on sunny South Canterbury.
