a lifetime burning

I've not deliberately blurred the background here - the Robin just happened to be at minimum focus distance from the lens, and the background some way behind, producing an overall colour without any real detail or interest .

The result could easily be someone's living room wall, if you'd chosen to paint the wall that colour (I'm sure that there must be someone out there who might paint a wall this colour, its the sort of thing that appears in paint colour charts).

I was tempted, in a moment of madness, to paint the robin's toe nails the same colour as the background.   I almost wish I had now :-)

It's the continuation of a busy weekend for us, having had a flying visit from our Daughter a few days ago, we have a flying visit from our Son, his wife (our daughter-in-law) and her best friend who are off staying over so that they can see a gig local to us tonight.  But its always great to see one's kids, however briefly.
