Fasching Warm Up

Heard & saw the village youth's carnival (Fasching in Bavaria, Karneval in northern Germany) float being taken out for a first road worthiness check. They have been building it in a shed, very close to our house, for weeks and always have their massive sound system on full blast pumping out .. bum, bum, bum... 'music'. Doesn't worry me, as I think it's great they do it and put so much effort into it. This year's steam locomotive is awesome.

I'm not sure which carnival processions they will be taking part in this year, the first proper one since 2019/Covid. Usually Shrove Tuesday (21st Feb this year) is the main day, but often also on the weekend before.

After the dog walk, I deliberately sought them out, they were now in the next village. Wasn't difficult - just follow the noise.
