Impala

Another day of heavy rain and all the nearby rivers are flooded.

Early afternoon we set off to Hazyview, a 45 minute drive, which is the nearest town to Sabi where our lodge is, a few minutes drive from The Paul Kruger gate. We were only half way up our lodge drive when our host 4x4 truck got stuck in the soft Earth due to the severe flooding. The site manager didn’t take long before he winched us out!

After shopping and coffee we treated our hosts at the national chain in South Africa called Oceans Basket. After a mighty meal, extras, drinks and a good tip the total bill was under £40!

Getting back we decided to leave the truck at the end of the drive but were surprised to see it with a herd of Impala (blip,pic)
