Coursing the Field

My first barn owl this year and in fact for ages.

Testing out both the mirrorless cameras to see which one.was better at tracking in the dusk plus focusing quickly was in fact quite taxing and switching from one to the other quickly proved frustrating. They aren't second nature yet and fiddling with the settings and buttons plus trying to keep focus wasn't easy. The R3 I think at this point is possibly better in these conditions but the jury's out at the moment. I don't like missing sitting shots especially when the opportunities are few and brief.

I need more practise and need more owls!
