It was only yesterday that Dan told me that he and his pal, Joe, were off to Brussels for the weekend, and, as they were flying from Manchester, today, perhaps the two of us could meet up for a beer.

Happily, I was in the office in Salford, today, so mid-afternoon, I walked up to Beermoth to meet him for a couple of drinks before he headed off to the airport to meet Joe. There he is, in today's Blip, the delightful fellow.

A little later on, just after six, in fact, he sent me a text from the airport: "Joe booked the flight for march"

Well, we found the pair of them a room at Sasha's and the Minx encouraged them to get to Matt and Phred's before eight o;clock, so they could take advantage of the 'two pints and a pizza for £12' happy hour offer, which they succeeded in.

In the end, it wasn't a bad result.
