Proving

Back to bread-prep pictures, must be reverting to lockdown mode. Started this loaf late but it can prove away quite happily overnight.
Have had another quiet day. Did do a bit of aquarium management since our four male swordtails have all copped it not long after we introduced some females to the tank. No other casualties, very strange. Anyway, the pH level was a little low and the nitrate level was a little high so I’ve given the tank some treatment and will test again in a few days. Neither issue should have caused mass casualties though; as I said, very strange.
While I was in the mood I cleaned the goldfish bowl, that’s somewhat lower maintenance than the aquarium!
Tip of the day: if you happen to have a big plastic sack of polystyrene beads in your attic, check for holes before you move it.
