Diamond Lake

I walked the Diamond Lake track up to the Lake Wanaka Lookout Point today.  Haven’t done this walk for a couple of years.  It is a fairly steep climb with  lots of wooden stair cases up to a lookout point over Diamond Lake (one extra from there).  I received plenty of encouraging comments from young people skipping up and down these steps as though they are nothing!!  Oh dear, I must look old!!!  It is a bit further on to the Lake lookout point but the track seems to have changed and I found myself walking up the East track to Rocky Mountain.  Time to turn back!
