King's Cross
Train this afternoon from London back to Edinburgh. I was very impressed by the King's Cross revamp - good shops.
One especially good conference session this morning about how not to communicate science to non-specialists: the presenters did all the things you shouldn't, and for the first wee while we thought it was real.
Nice to travel back in daylight. I didn't even attempt to do email as the slow train WiFi on the journey down just led to me not doing much except swearing. I was organised enough to download the first episode of The Fall to my iPad, which was four-star aside from Gillian Anderson.
Cat had her vet visit and it seems she just has a sensitive stomach. We'll pick her up some special food tomorrow and hopefully she'll be sorted. I think my husband is relieved this week's over as we've had car trouble too (also now sorted) and he's borne the brunt while I've been away. Our pockets may take a little longer to recover!
