This is the week. The best week. The week where the balance is finally tipped and it's light when I leave the house as well as when I leave the office. I like this week.

After the good start the rest of my day went a bit downhill with a couple of cancelled meetings, a cancelled boiler service ("Conner [plumber] has an airlock" was the slightly amusing message) and a meeting with one of my stakeholders where I had to tell him about a 'small' (less than £2m, more than £1m) budget issue ("we looked down the backs of all the sofas”). Luckily I'd warned him last week it was coming, and we know how it happened which makes it a tiny bit better but it still not great news.

No gym as my last call didn't finish until a bit later than planned. Home to sausages instead.
