Waiting for my walking mates.
At the bottom of my street is an old stone church. To its west is an amazing ornamental cherry tree. Although incredibly boring 90% of the year, it is covered in 1000's of blooms for 2 weeks every spring. Yesterday was a dull grey day that would have captured the tree beautifully against the stone of the church - I didn't take advantage.
Today I decided to get a pic of the cherry tree and church back drop. However, the sun was shining and had crested the roof of the church, lighting the top six feet. Fail...
Looking around I realized that the early sun was blazing through the recently opened leaf and flower buds of a maple on main street. I also noticed the gentleman I see every morning patiently waiting for a couple of friends that he walks with around downtown Kentville. His yellow jacket, the rejuvenating maple, and the pink flowers of the cherry screamed SPRING!!!
