Collared Dove

A grey start to the day before the cloud thinned so we saw some weak sunlight. I was preparing soil and seed trays for tomatoes when I noticed a bird in the garden. I approached it slowly and was able to take a few photos, as it sat/lay very still I thought it might be injured. However when I attempted to pick it up it calmly took flight and appeared in no distress.
