Taming of the shrew

I believe this to be a shrew. Until my cat bought it to me as a present I had never seen one before. I thought he was quite cute so after I had watched him for a while I released him back into the wild.
Good day in the garden today. I have lots of very large Phormium that need reducing in size. Its not just a case of trimming it down - you really have to get into the base and cut out the dead leaves. And it's really tough stuff.
