Another glorious day…

after a hard overnight frost. Ben Wyvis still holds onto plenty of snow for the unwary, of whom there seems to be an increasing population. People never learn. There are exactly the same problems as when I was active in Mountain Rescue forty years ago.
However, the weather was wonderful, the walking great and wildlife profuse . The Firth mudflats providing food for a large number of Shelduck, Wigeon and waders. The fields were full of Greylag and Pinkfooted geese. Kites and Buzzard floated overhead.
