Day 045/23. Macro Practice.
A new photo technique evolving using one of my newly acquired insects. Focus stacking with flash.
This is a Male Saw Tooth Green Stag Beetle, its about 4cm long.
Despite their ‘menacing’ appearance these critters are not carnivorous and feed mostly on tree sap and rotting fruits.
Latin name: lamprima adolphinae
Sourced in accordance within the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981
