Golden Orb

This is our resident Golden Orb spider, which weaves a beautiful golden web, so strong that it can catch small birds. The birds thrash around too much so the spider leaves a line of wrapped up lunches to deter them from landing on the web. They are harmless to humans and fascinating to watch.
